FAQ's

Hopefully most of your questions about the kind of things we treat and how we treat them are answered elsewhere on this web site.

But we always get asked....

  • What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor ?
  • They are essentially very similar. We both treat backs, joints and muscles using mostly hands on treatment. Some of the techniques and philosophies vary, but then all osteopaths and chiropractors have their own individual styles anyway. They are basically two different "brands" - a bit like Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola.

  • What is the difference between an Osteopath and a Physiotherapist ?
  • Again, there are many more similarities than differences. The physiotherapy that is available on the NHS often places less emphasis on the "hands on" type of treatment than we do.

Feel free to contact us if you have any other queries or questions we haven't covered.
